  • Scholarship FAQ

When should I apply for study abroad scholarships?
    • Most scholarship deadlines fall from November-April for study abroad conducted any time during the next academic year. This means that you may apply for scholarships before you have even been accepted into a study abroad program.
How do I find out if my existing academic scholarship will apply to study abroad?
    • Almost all academic scholarships work for study abroad as long as you take the required number of credits. Still it is important to verify that your scholarship will apply as a part of your financial planning. Please contact your study abroad advisor for information on this process.
What if I'm receiving a scholarship that requires I take 15 credits while abroad, such as the ND Academic and the ND Career and Technical Education Scholarship through NDSU?
    • It's important that you let your study abroad advisor know so that you are registered for the right number of credits while abroad. You still need to take enough credits while abroad to meet the requirement as well.
