Become a Bison Abroad Ambassador!

Who are Bison Abroad Ambassadors?

They are students who have previously participated in a study abroad program and who want to take their experience and enthusiasm to the next level. This is an opportunity to share your excitement about your own study abroad experience with other students to get them interested in going abroad. Also if you are interested in the career of international education, becoming a Bison Abroad Ambassador is a great way to gain experience in the field.

In what ways can I help students who want to find out more about studying abroad?

  • Lead Study Abroad InfoSessions
  • Class visits
  • Pre-departure Orientation
  • Study Abroad Fair
  • Help design window ads, brochures, and flyers for study abroad
  • And much more!

The Bison Abroad Ambassadors meet periodically to plan events and discuss participation. Get involved today!

How do I get started?

For more detailed information about the program take a look at the guidelines and the checklist available in the sidebar. The documents include:

  • The "Internship Guidelines" document is an overview of the wide variety of events and activities that you can take part in through the internship.
  • The "Checklists" document is for you to use to track how completion of the 20-hour requirement for participation in the internship.
  • The "Things to Know Template" is a great place to get started if you want to put together information and helpful tips from your program.
  • Also, check out the Bison Abroad Ambassadors Events page for opportunities to volunteer. Just send a quick email to volunteer!
  • You are welcome to join the Bison Abroad Ambassador Internship group on facebook to collaborate if you are interested.
