The Hochschule is distinguished by application-based teaching and research as well as by a strong practical aspect. The aim of this practical orientation is flexibility, i.e. to apply the theoretical and methodological to knowledge-gained specific professional problems. This adaptability is systematically trained for in courses at the University of Applied Sciences (Fachhochschule).
 

About Emden/Leer

Hochschule Emden has locations in the cities in the state of Lower Saxony, including the location in Emden and Leer. Emden was founded in the year 800 AD and has been one of Germany's major seaports throughout history. Students considering studying at the Hochschule in Emden should possess at least a basic knowledge of German, although some Business Administration courses are offered entirely in English for German and international students.
 

Academics

Business and Engineering students are especially attracted to Germany, and the Hochschule in Emden is a beautiful, friendly and quality place to spend a semester or two. Plan ahead by enrolling in a German class at NDSU. With international students from around the globe, Hochschule is the place to make new friends, gain international experience and see the world.

Notes about the Language of Instruction

At the Hochschule/Emden, regular courses are taught in German. Students have the opportunity to study Business in English. A limited number of classes in technical areas of study are also available in English.

You are responsabile for the additional costs for the application and course fees, airfare, housing, and other living expenses.
