NDSU Student Miles Scholarship

The Office of International Programs is excited to award free airline tickets to NDSU students who will be studying abroad anywhere in the world. Airline miles are accrued thanks to generous NDSU faculty and staff who understand that an experience abroad is an essential part of your academic career as it helps you to better understand other cultures, allows you to gain global understanding and perspectives, and in addition, enhances your career opportunities.

Requirements
The aim of this scholarship is to assist students who have higher financial needs in order to make their dream of studying abroad a reality. To qualify for this scholarship, you need to have applied for Financial Aid by completing the FAFSA for the 2014-15 academic year (or be able to provide alternative documentation of financial need). Preference is given to students who receive the Pell Grant. Students must also be qualified to study abroad and plan to use the scholarship in order to participate on a for-credit study abroad program of any length. Please keep in mind that students who are awarded the scholarship must allow for some flexibility with their travel dates and will be booked flights that follow the regulations of the air carrier for which the miles have been accrued. Currently, airline tickets are available on Delta Air Lines, Air France, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Alitalia and specified Delta codeshare partner flights.
