NDSU Scholarships

The below scholarships are offered through the Office of International Student and Study Abroad Services. You can apply for multiple scholarships through completion of one application--use the Apply Now buttons anywhere on this page to get started!

NDSU Miles Scholarship
The Office of International Student and Study Abroad Services is excited to award free airline tickets to NDSU students who will be studying abroad anywhere in the world! Preference is given to students who receive the Pell Grant, to students with financial need, and to students participating in semester/yearlong programs. Students must also be qualified to study abroad and plan to use the scholarship in order to study abroad on any length of program.

NDSU John and Susan Wold Scholarship
The John and Susan Wold International Study Scholarship is a scholarship in the amount of $1000 that is awarded annually for the period of a summer, semester, or year of study abroad. Students attending faculty-led programs are encouraged to apply. Preference is given to students who are North Dakota or Minnesota residents. Applicants must have a 3.0 GPA or higher.

NDSU Sudhir Mehta Memorial Study Abroad Scholarship
The Sudhir Mehta Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually for study abroad on a semester or summer program. Preference is given to students who are studying abroad in India or Southeast Asia.  Students attending faculty-led programs are encouraged to apply.  Applicants must have a 3.0 GPA or higher.

NDSU Klai Study Abroad Scholarship
John R. Klai II and his husband Jon Sparer created this scholarship to support students in learning about the world through a study abroad experience. Preference is given to students with financial need. Applicants must have a 2.75 GPA or higher.
Amount: $500

NDSU James A. Meier Study Abroad Scholarship
James A. Meier established this scholarship to encourage students with a lively intellectual curiosity and openness to new ideas to experience study abroad. The James A. Meier Study Abroad Scholarship is awarded annually for students who study abroad on a semester or summer program. Preference is given to students with financial need. Applicants must have a 2.75 GPA or higher.

NDSU Kevin and Jean Melicher Family Scholarship
The Kevin and Jean Melicher Family Scholarship is a scholarship for students who have declared a major or minor in an academic field directly related to healthcare.  This scholarship is available to students participating in a study abroad program during spring 2016 on any type of program.

NDSU James A. Meier Camino de Santiago Scholarship
James A. Meier created this scholarship to support students taking part in the NDSU faculty-led Camino de Santiago program with Dr. Carlos Hawley. Preference is given to students with financial need. Applicants must have a 2.75 GPA or higher.
