Konkuk University's main campus is situated in the downtown area of Seoul and welcomes students from all over the world. The International Summer Program (ISP) at Konkuk University is a one-month-long summer program that provides a great opportunity to learn and experience the unique culture of Korea. The ISP offers a variety of courses in English  in such areas as international relations, science & engineering, arts, economics, business and the humanities. There are also field trips to historical and beautiful places in Korea, weekly cultural workshops and weekend programs with buddy students to enhance your understanding and experiences in Korea.
 

About Seoul, Korea

Today the Seoul Campus, located in the heart of Seoul, comprises 15 colleges and 11 graduate schools, offering a diverse range of subjects while the Glocal Campus, also part of the university, consists of 7 colleges and 2 graduate schools. About 26,000 students from all around the world study at the two campuses, a stark contrast with the size of the class of 1950: just 146.

    Note: To be eligible to participate in this program, you must have completed or be in process of completing at least one semester at NDSU.

    Notes about the Language of Instruction
    The Konkuk Language Institute was founded in 1990 to meet the needs of students and professionals from local and foreign communities. Staffed by 77 dedicated instructors, the institute offers courses on English, Japanese and Chinese to foster knowledge of the languages themselves, as well as of the underlying culture.

    The institute also offers a wide range of Korean language courses for foreign students who are not proficient to manage university-level courses in Korean. Korean language courses were first introduced in 1998. The Konkuk Language Institute was founded in 1990 to meet the needs of students and professionals from local and foreign communities.     Some courses for this program have already been approved for course equivilency at NDSU. If a course that you want to take is not listed on this page or has been approved for something other than what you want to use it for, you can still complete the course plan to obtain alternative course equivilency approval. The course plan will automatically show as part of your study abroad application after you are accepted to the progam.

    The standard summer term for this program lasts from early July to early August.
    • 2014 Summer Program: July 12-August 9, 2014
      • Arrival and Departure Dates: Arrival dates are Saturday and Sunday, July 12-13 and the dormitory closes on August 9.

    The cost for this NDSU exchange program is the same tuition and fees as the term at NDSU. You are responsible for the additional costs for the application and course fees, airfare, housing and other living expenses.
